Yoga Instructor
she/her/hers

Liz Merci is a born and raised Maine girl. She became certified in vinyasa yoga in 2018 and has been teaching movement in studios, gyms and one-on-one ever since! She holds a B.S. in Public Health from UMass Amherst and served in the Peace Corps from 2016 - 2018. Her approach to movement, mindfulness and holistic health is about the bigger picture. She hopes that being able to move well and feel good in our bodies translates to showing up in the world with more self-awareness and deep compassion for ourselves and the people around us. Yoga on the mat is meant to prepare us to be more present off the mat. Feeling strong in the body builds resiliency for the challenges we face in the real world. At the end of the day, she hopes that your health and wellness journey meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go! She also teaches vinyasa yoga at a studio in downtown Portland, Maine and works at Fore Street Restaurant. Liz's favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip! She lives in South Portland with her two cats, Katahdin and Wednesday, and loves a good book or a good party.
